2007 The Sisters

"The 2007 The Sisters continues to provide even more early drinking pleasure. This bottling is a more classic style Napa Cabernet combining both soil and fruit driven elements to find balance early. It also provides a good snapshot of the vineyard as a whole possessing wine from every block of the estate. Whereas we look primarily for concentration for the flagship wine, the Sisters is always about juiciness. The fruit profile tends more toward the red end of the spectrum featuring notes of currants, cassis and spearmint. The small dose of Cabernet Franc adds a floral lift to the aromatics with the Petit Verdot adding some mid-palate muscle and just enough tannin to prolong the finish." -Thomas Rivers Brown, Winemaker, July 2010
