STEWARDS OF THE LAND
For us, being vintners is about being good stewards of the land. We believe in terroir, the idea that all of the environmental factors associated with growing on our hillside deliver unique characteristics to our grapes.
Our Estate sits in the eastern hillsides of the Napa Valley, mid-slope on Howell Mountain, below the frost and above the fog covering the valley floor. At 700 ft above sea level, this location provides an exemplary combination of soil and climate for the development of brilliant Cabernet Sauvignon, vintage after vintage.
”Each generation is a caretaker of
both the land & the brand…”
With respect and appreciation for the land we remain committed to preserving and protecting both our vines and the 100 acres of wildland that has surrounded us for more than two decades. With these commitments, we ensure the sustainability of our vineyard and the continuation of a diverse ecosystem for the wildlife that coexists with us. The 2020 Glass Fire charred our hillside, and our current focus is on re-establishment of a native oak savannah over the coming decades.
